This program targets graduates in Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Zoology, giving them hands-on experience in this expanding industry. Participants will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000 during the internship, providing cash assistance while they develop new skills.

Maryam Nawaz mentioned the global rise in shrimp farming demand and its potential to generate over a billion dollars in foreign exchange by utilizing 100,000 acres of land. She emphasized that barren lands in South Punjab could become fertile and economically beneficial through shrimp farming. The project includes land lease options and other incentives, paving the way for economic growth and opportunities for local farmers and investors.
The initiative will create 10,000 to 20,000 jobs, empowering youth to pursue self-employment and achieve financial independence. By promoting shrimp farming, the provincial government envisions significant economic benefits while fostering skill development among young professionals.

Applicants need a degree in Fisheries, Aquaculture, or Zoology. The online application process is available through the official online web portal, ensuring wide participation.
Shrimp Farming Training and Monthly Stipend
Interns will undergo in-depth training at the Fisheries Department’s shrimp farm in Muzaffargarh. The program covers all aspects of shrimp farming, from farm management to aquaculture techniques. Alongside this valuable experience, participants will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000.
